AVENUE’S TECHNICAL AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
AVENUE has a team of committed staff and voluntary members who are pursuing the course of the organization. There is also behind the scenes, a highly professional board of directors and patrons whose rich experiences inform and shape AVENUE’S consistency and dynamism in achieving goals.
In addition, the organization has put in place mechanisms to allow and tap experiences of those who are our target after a time of unearthing common grounds of purpose, especially with building a reservoir of knowledge, expertise and voluntarism. The financial strength and management are handled by the accountant and the administrative secretary, who are empowered by the good decisions of the board and the commitment of donors. To ensure a stream of financial flow and not depend solely on donors, AVENUE has micro a finance project and a planned animal rearing farm to be able to raise funds for salaries, rent and other overhead costs.
count on us
How we do it.
- Competence in Implementing projects
- Continuity of Presence in communities for better acceptance and effectiveness and sustainability.
- Transparency and accountability towards internal funds and that of donors.
VOLUNTARISM
Initial community program leaders have been our basket of voluntarism. Many of these men and women become so involved and open up totally towards helping AVENUE to enter even other communities.
- Inadequate funding to reach out to more communities
- Limited micro-credit after providing skills training.
- Inadequate direct funding for programmes targeting women and children.
- Inadequate means of transport to have access to remote communities
- Set up an Integrated Resource centre.
- To have a reservoir of reach volunteers in the target communities.
- To uplift human rights through direct advocacy.
- To promote a clearly differentiated profile for Avenue in the minds of donors and other stakeholders.
- To establish a culture of long term Avenue presence in communities by using permanent effective volunteers, which can ensure real sustainability.
To collaborate through partnerships and networking, to build on our capacities and address some of Avenue’s challenges.
