Most women in Ghana do not own land. This is especially of those in patrichical inheritance cultures. Even in that state, they produce most of the basic foods we find on daily menu. They do so under strenuous conditions as most of them have to combine child care, right on the farm. There is intermittent care for baby and back to weeding, sowing, cropping, harvesting and so on. Most grueling is, they having to carry harvested produce to the house or market with baby to carry in addition! Congratulations!! Congratulations our gallant women farmers!
